Focus on Adrien Falewee, former InnovActeur 💼

Can you tell us about your background?

My name is Adrien Falewee and I trained as a general engineer at ICAM.

In June 2013, I interviewed with Innovateam and then with one of their customers Technip, all in the same day! I signed my contract that same evening.

Can you tell us about your mission at Innovateam?

Jt was during a 5-year assignment with Technip in Russia, particularly on the Yamal project, that I was able to see all the facets of an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) project.

For the first two years, I worked on the engineering side in the plant's piping department, in the design phase. Then in the following years, I had the opportunity to work on the purchasing/logistics side, more specifically on electrical tracing.

Last year, I went to Saint Petersburg for the construction phase!

What I liked about my experience at Innovateam is that I was able to follow the same project from A to Z at Technip for 5 years.

What I also appreciated at Innovateam was the events that were organized, Jean-David's accessibility and attentiveness, as well as my relationship with the business managers.

What is your current position?

I left Innovateam in August 2018 and went to New Zealand to hike and do the Te Araroa (the long crossing in Maori): a 3000kms trek. I've written a book about the experience: L'Échappée Belle, published by La Bruyère!

After that, I took time out to do some training, in particular to become a sailing instructor. I also learnt about the climate: the trigger was the creation of a climate fresco and a trip to the Sea of Ice, showing the evolution of the glacier's melt over the years.

Today, I devote 75% of my time to helping companies, associations, elected representatives and schools in their ecological reorientation.

And 25% of my time is spent on eco-adventures. In other words, every year, I leave for 1 or 2 months to do a stage of the Tour de France that I've started in 2021. I've already cycled through Eastern France, snowshoed in the Jura, hiked through the Alps and crossed the Mediterranean from Italy to Spain for a month, raising awareness of climate issues among 600 people.

In 2023, I crossed the Pyrenees on foot for two months, covering 900 kilometers with a donkey. I went to meet schools and children to raise their awareness of ecology.

I wanted to develop this eco-adventure project further, so I set off with a video maker to create a 30-minute documentary film about the crossing and ecology.

Today, I'm part of21-22, an ecological redirection agency.
We work to redirect companies and local authorities on mitigation and adaptation issues.

What does Innovateam mean to you?

The Innovateam teams were very accessible: whenever I was on the premises, I could talk to the staff and Jean-David.

What I remember most was the good atmosphere in a company on a human scale and my exchanges with the staff!

Any last words?

I recommend Jean-Marc JANCOVICI's ecology comic book "Le monde sans fin" and calculating your carbon footprint in 5 minutes at https://nosgestesclimat.fr/.
